Biography[] A Jangada Chair, Gillon's signature design. Jean Gillon was born in IaČi, Romania in 1919. He studied architecture and fine arts at George Enescu National University of Arts. He took specialization courses at Vienna's Kunstgewerbschulle and at Leeds's Arts and Crafts School ā where he later worked as visiting lecturer. [citation needed]
